TO THE BEACH

Is there anything more fun than taking a break from your laptop and the trappings of your office to flock to a big strip of sand to lie in the sun with friends, reading gossip magazines and dipping in the ocean? Not in our minds. When you’re heading to the beach for the day, do yourself a favor and pack light. The long walk in the sand with the sun beating down on you is a million times easier if you leave the cooler and chairs at home and just bring the necessities. Wear a printed tunic and shorts, or a chic printed caftan with your swimsuit underneath, a floppy straw hat and slip-on sandals. Bring along a roomy straw tote or canvas bag, filled with sunscreen, a beach towel and some bottled water. (And don’t forget a change of underwear.) Now go have some fun, and take a sun-and-sea-soaked nap for us while you’re at it.
